Requirements

A steam system for the production of nonwoven fabrics in both summer and winter operation with different operating and standstill times. Additional continuous steam capacity of 100 kg/h for the operation of the heating system during winter months.

Solution

One CERTUSS steam generator of the JUNIOR TC series with a steam output of up to 350 kg/h. Additionally, a CERTUSS CVE supply unit. All components for water supply and conditioning are included in the complete system.

A JUNIOR TC steam generator from CERTUSS is used for the production of nonwoven fabric by Johns Manville at its Luoyang facility in China. The complete boiler house installation prefabricated by CERTUSS feeds the production lines for nonwoven fabrics and heaters.

Johns Manville Nonwovens (Luoyang) Co., Ltd. is a Berkshire Hathaway company, a leading producer and marketer of high-quality construction and specialized products such as fibers, nonwoven fabrics and OEM insulation solutions.

For around 20 years, two CERTUSS reference systems with a capacity of 1,300 kg/h each have been running at the Johns Manville facility in Berlin, Germany. Five years ago, CERTUSS received a new order from JM for its new production line in Luoyang. This steam system feeds the production machines during the summer months with 200 to 250 kg/h of steam, three times a day for about 2.5 hours each time. During the winter months, the system generates steam around the clock in full-load operation, as the steam system also supplies the heaters with 100 kg/h in addition to production.
