ROLLS ROYCE (Hucknall)

In September 2016, Building Services and Engineering specialists MITIE invited CERTUSS UK Ltd, to attend a meeting at Rolls Royce plant Hucknall, to view an anodising process, which required a stand-alone steam generator supply. The process was currently being supplied with steam from a central steam boiler facility and was proving to be inefficient and costly.

Tender details were to supply and commission a Pre-Installed Packaged Steam Generator Container Module.

The equipment would need to supply the Anodising process facility, with a production requirement of 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. A combination burner (Natural Gas and Light Oil fired) was requested, to ensure a back-up, should there be an interruption to the site Gas supply.

After evaluation of the requirements, CERTUSS UK offered a tender for the following equipment:

The equipment

    • 1 x CERTUSS Pre-Installed Packaged Steam Generator Container Module
    • 2 x CERTUSS 650kg/h TC Dual Fuel Fired Steam Generators (Duty)
    • 2 x  Automatic Operation facility (Stop/Start/Blow-Down-Lag/Lead
    • 2 x Touchscreen Interface facility
    • Stainless Steel Feed Water Tank (Hot-Well)
    • Blow-down Vessel
    • Compressor for Auto facility
    • Pipe insulation within Container
    • 1 x Automatic Water Monitor
    • Duplex Water Softener (1000kg/h)
    • 2 x Flue Gas Economizers
    • 2 x flue facilities (1m above container module loose supply)
    • Delivery to site (Excluding offload and position)
    • Commissioning

    In August 2017 CERTUSS received an order for the supply of the equipment.
    Delivery of the Container Module was made to MITIE Engineering early January 2018, with full commissioning of the plant completed in late January 2018.
