Ulster Independent Clinic

In 1998, CERTUSS supplied 2 x CERTUSS Junior 300S Model Generators and loose supply ancillary items to Ulster Independent Clinic. The equipment was installed and maintained by a local representative for CERTUSS. Steam from the CERTUSS equipment was being used for a Sterilisation process.

In 2011 CERTUSS were contacted by the hospital engineer Mr Sam Dunlop, with a view to replacing the existing plant with some new equipment. After a number of site visits to decide on the best location and logistics for carrying out the work required. It was agreed that a small window of opportunity would be put in place to have the existing plant removed, the new equipment installed and commissioning carried out. Steam production would is required 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, so it was critical that the programme of works was adhered to.

The equipment chosen by Sam Dunlop was 2 x 400kg/hr CERTUSS SC Model Gas Fired Generators and Package Plant Module. He believed the compact Package Plant Module offered a better option for the programme of works and would reduce the installation time greatly, also offering peace of mind that a factory test would be carried out prior to delivery to site.

In November 2012, CERTUSS received an order for the supply and commissioning of the equipment quoted. Installation of the equipment was carried out by a local firm Armstrong Heating and Plumbing. The installation programme of works was achieved and Commissioning of the plant was carried out in April 2013.

CERTUSS continue to service and maintain this site with their resident Ireland Engineer. This site is also available for any potential CERTUSS UK customers to visit and see our equipment in a working environment, where they can speak to an independent Engineer for an unbiased opinion.

With reference to the CERTUSS Steam Generator at this site, Sam Dunlop stated that “he chose to continue working with CERTUSS as he had not lost a day in production with the original equipment in nearly 14 years”. After evaluation of the requirements, CERTUSS UK offered a tender.
