Persie Distillery, top-quality gin from Scotland

The Persie Distillery in Perthshire, Scotland specializes in the production of top-quality gins. When the company founder looked around for different manufacturers and suppliers in the industry, he came across CERTUSS as a steam generator manufacturer.

Simon Fairclough, owner of Persie Distillery, made his passion into a career. Persie Distillery produces a variety of gin flavors to suit every palate. The company's facility in Blairgowrie features a tasting area where all visitors are warmly welcome.

In 2015, CERTUSS was asked for a price quote to supply steam to the newly founded distillery. In the fall of that year, CERTUSS UK as an exhibitor at the Craft Distilling Expo in London met another participant in the project: Muller GmbH, the company commissioned with producing the 230-liter copper boiler, among other things. A time frame agreement between the project partners for commissioning the following February was indispensable. Everything went extremely smoothly. Gin was flowing within a very short period of time.

When I actually had conversations with CERTUSS, I undestood that the generator would be more efficient because it would start up quicker... And it was much more plug and play.

I didn´t have to spend several days a year getting my training ticket for running steam boiler.

I got CERTUSS to amend and alter refit slightly, one of their smallest steam generators, the junior 120. So, it would give me a 150 kilogram of steam an hour. So, that would be sufficient for my needs.

And manuals all very well, but actually picking up the phone and speaking to one of the team, that's sorted nearly every time. And we get excellent annual servicing. And each time I learn a bit more.
